I’ve always been a collector, gathering small objects as pocket-sized tokens from significant life experiences. I keep them scattered around the house and even take some with me when I travel. Whenever one of these little tokens catches my eye, it brings me joy. It’s not the object itself that gives me this feeling, but the memories it carries and evokes. I love sharing these little gifts with the people in my life, so they, too, can have their own tokens of joy.
Throughout my life, I’ve traveled and moved around a lot. From a young age, I was exposed to and had to assimilate to various cultures. No matter where I was, though, I always felt at home in nature and found comfort in the fact that nature is beautiful wherever you go.
I’ve been making art for as long as I can remember, and my inspiration has always come from artists who were influenced by nature, no matter their style— from Monet to Bob Ross. After earning my BFA in Computer Art from The School of Visual Arts in NYC, I was drawn to the magic of Visual Effects in film—creating all the cool things that weren’t actually there in real life.
I spent 20 years in the TV and movie industry, making beautiful people, places, and products look even more pixel-perfect. Meanwhile, at home, I was experimenting with 3D modeling, and when we got a 3D printer for fun, we created some truly amazing things. It was so much fun. Then, everything clicked, and I finally found my medium—a perfect blend of my favorite things: art, nature, and design.
